I know my rights in Christian freedom – I’ll assert them at all cost!
My way of conducting church services is more practical – I’ll implement things my way!
My spiritual gifts are more impressive – I don’t need other people’s gifts!
Ever find yourself thinking this way? Or hearing other people say these things?
These ways of thinking were rampant in the Corinthian church and are still very much wreaking havoc in our churches today.
We need to hear the truths of 1 Corinthians 8-14 preached to us faithfully and clearly, as did the Corinthian church back then. These truths will expose deep-seated worldly wisdom that we have bought in to and show us what kind of lives Christians have been saved for.
Not too long ago, our church preached from 1 Corinthians 8-14 and expounded on these chapters in light of the whole book. This new training module from our latest Sermon Series Overview captures the main point and purpose of these chapters (1 Corinthians 8-14). As a glimpse, we think the summary verse is taken from 1 Corinthians 10:31!
"So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31.
If you are new to our Sermon Series Overview, do check out our two earlier modules that are sectioned into 1 Corinthians 1-4 and 1 Corinthians 5-7!
