You’ve delivered a killer sermon introduction. They’re hooked.
You’ve given them the purpose of the passage. They know where your sermon will land. They’re ready for the journey.
So what do you do now?
You preach the body of the sermon.
The body of the sermon is where the weightiness of your sermon will come from. This is where the motivation for the application will come from.
Do badly here and your sermon will either be a lightweight one with no theological heft or a muddled one with no one sure what you’re saying and where you’re getting it from.
In this module, we look at what goes into the body of the sermon, give some examples from different genres and suggest a simple 4 step process which you can follow to develop a rock-solid body!
Happy body building!
